1. Texas LPC-Supervisor’s 40-Hour Course

A complete, self-paced certification program that meets the training requirements under 22 Texas Administrative Code §681.147. Built and taught by Sylveria Sanchez, LPC-S #74962, CCTP.

  • 40 clock hours across 7 modules, 10 case presentations, 10 ethical dilemmas and a final evaluation, allocated to the five content areas in 22 TAC §681.147 (see Curriculum Hours below)
  • 10 case presentations with structured responses
  • 10 ethical dilemma scenarios requiring clinical reasoning
  • Comprehensive final evaluation — 100 points total, 70% required to pass, 1 retake permitted
  • Certificate of completion bearing the signature of Sylveria Sanchez, LPC-S, available in your student dashboard once your final evaluation is graded and your assignments are reviewed, for submission to BHEC with your supervisor status application

Who This Course Is For

Texas LPCs who meet the state’s experience thresholds and are ready to formally apply for the LPC-Supervisor designation. Ideal for clinicians planning to supervise LPC Associates toward full licensure.

Compliance

It is taught by a Licensed Professional Counselor with supervisor status, a recognized continuing education provider category under 22 TAC §681.140(e)(6). The Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council does not pre-evaluate or pre-approve continuing education providers or hours (22 TAC §681.140(h)). This course is designed to satisfy the 40-hour supervisor training requirement specified in §681.147. Completion of this course does not guarantee approval of your LPC-Supervisor license by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. You are responsible for confirming current licensure requirements with BHEC.
